Oh, Where Is My Contact?

This is what I was saying, crying, wailing Friday night after getting home from church camp. Jenn and I had just taken in all my luggage, when I realized that I wasn't seeing the way I should be. It wasn't because my eyes were dry or my contact had shifted; it was due to NO contact being in my eye at all! Just great. That thing could be anywhere - in the van, on the concrete driveway or sidewalk, in the house, on any part of my mounding camp luggage... Jeremy was going to kill me (not really, but panic will have strange effects on you); to replace my hard contact would be at least $100, if not more. My wonderful sister-in-law did not let the impossible lead her to despair; she just got to lookin'. After searching for a while, I prayed out loud to the Lord, who would be the only reason we were ever going to find it. Deciding to check the van one more time, I opened the door only to find that silly contact peacefully lying on the carpet beside my seat, acting as if I should have known it was there all the time. I just about had a shouting time right there in my driveway thanking the Lord for the discovery! Isn't it just like Him to bring relief in a moment of chaotic crisis?!!

News bulletin: It's official! GBS has employed me as Office Manager of the Music Division! Bro. Wolf called to see if I would be interested in taking the position, and how can you say "no" to Bro. Wolf? In short, you don't! :-) Jeremy and I will most likely be moving there soon. Fortunately, it will bring Jeremy closer to his station, which is worth a lot when you consider gas prices. I'll be saying "goodbye" to my home of twenty-nine years (I've already informed Jeremy that there will be an inevitable meltdown before this transition is completely over). I'm excited, though, to be working with Bro. Wolf and to be near some of my favorite people!

Congratulations on the new job! I think.... Yes, congratulations! I hope this won't mean you leaving Auburn, I think I'd have a complete meltdown if that would be the case. The contact story..... Isn't God good? Yep, all the time!

oh...congratulations on your job! that is fantastic! ummmm....I dont' want to sound selfish, but....that doesn't mean that you will be leaving Auburn...right? That would be bad! We would miss your beautiful smile and your lovely piano playing....and so much more that you bring. As for your meltdown...I think that you are entitled to a few it you are so inclined. 29 years is a lot of memories to leave behind. Take lots of pictures before you go...inside and out!
